Hi There!!
New to this message board. I'm an avid collector of UK paperweights but I've run across a French weight for sale that I'm interested in purchasing, but I can't seem to identify the label. Per the seller this was in a storage unit and part of the label has been worn/scratched off. I've tried looking through all the books I have and have Googled the label but I can't seem to get a fix on the manufacturer. I don't believe that this is an antique piece but more mid to late 1900's, and to my understanding the only French companies making paperweights these days are Baccarat and Saint Louis. Any ideas on who this label might belong to?

I think it's possible your label reads 'MADE IN MURANO'

It looks like Made in Murano, vey much like an Archimede Seguso scalloped label. Example here:

That's a huge help. I knew that when there weren't any other identifying marks like an acid-etched signature or a signature cane that "made in France" had to incorrect. Thanks so much!! :)
