This is from the 643 suite, aka "Brideshead" with the RdNo. 130643 from 13/8/1889 on one of the ribs. The bowl diameter is 5".

I do like that, I have a thing for pearline. :)

Thanks Anne, somehow I've now got 23 pieces. I bought the nappy yesterday and as I was leaving a dealer came in with a box of glass with the dish on top ;D.

Have you seen this Davidson catalogue available from Corning: https://www.cmog.org/library/davidsons-patent-primrose-blue-pearline?search=library_collection%3A682c8b0119796cda9d8bb660c542347c&page=22
Your bowl is illustrated on page 13, Davidson called it a Sweet rather than a Nappy. A nicer name :D . Is Nappy an Americanism?
-
Thanks for that Ekimp, I'd not seen it before. I think nappy is an Americanism but it's one of those terms that was used in English then went out of fashion but was retained in America. Looking up the definition it dates from 1730, middle English nap, Old English hnaepf, a cup or bowl, well you learn something every day ;D

Yes - live and learn :)
It probably helps that Americans use diapers...

And diaper is another of those "lost" words.
