This piece has a slight colored iridescence and has remnants of a gold gilt
around the lip. The base has a small polished pontil scar and plenty of wear
to the edge of the base think it has a descent age possibly Victorian it also
has muck in the snail type of handle where it joins the body as you find on this
type of jug handles. The enamelled sides are very clear and well done very little
has worn over time which is quite rare. would love to know any thoughts on this.
8" tall 6" wide quite a hefty piece of glass :)

I'm quite likely wrong but if it were mine I might be searching for Harrach.
There's something about the shape and the way the faintly ribbed body is made, the remark you made about the heft of the piece, that makes me think it would be. The ribbed handle less so perhaps but the enamels also very Bohemian to me. Maybe Kralik a second contender.

Not Fenton. Never seen a pontil scar like that on a Fenton piece.
