Hi All,
I thought this one would be fairly easy to pinpoint. Beautiful flared Czech glass vase, I suspect almost certainly Beranek/Skrdlovice in origin. Measures approx 26cm tall. Flat polished and bevelled base.
I've looked through the catalogues although can't seem to locate this specific design. Bears some similarities to the Emanuel Beranek 5989 from 1959. I suspect would date to around this period.
Any further information would be gratefully received. Please see attached pictures.
Many thanks,
Greg

Link here that attributes it to Joseph Rozinek for Novy Bor.

:) Sorry I can't help, but I love it. I've not seen anything much like it before, although it does have a hint of Sam Herman-y-alike-ness, with colours sweeping and suspended in the clear, all very liquid and smooth and fitting in with and complementing the unusual shape... 8)

Thank you chasdevlin for that info, that's a great help indeed.
With that info I managed to find an example shown by Mark Hill, described in the following link:
https://markhillpublishing.com/products/a-1960s-borske-sklo-floriform-vase-designed-by-jozef-rozinek/
Just to paraphrase, apparently no paperwork has been found to confirm attribution, however, the design is attributed to Josef Rozinek and Borske Sklo largely due to the use and flow of colours. Similar effects can be seen in Josef Rozinek and Stanislav Honzik well known Exbor fish sculptures.
Thanks to chasdelvin, Sue and also Mark for the above information.
Nice to now know a little more about this great piece of Czech glass design.
