Title: Victorian Pressed Uranium Vase
Post by: NevB on August 06, 2022, 01:23:00 PM
This unusual 8.25" vase has no lozenge or registration number. The most distinctive features are the concave foot going down to a vertical scalloped foot rim and the three section fans around the top rim. The two diamond/fluted patterns are also slightly unusual. I've looked everywhere but not found anything similar. The colour though might point to Derbyshire Brothers and I'd guess pre 1880. Weight is 505gms.

Hi Nevb, a few of these have come on eBay recently. Any chance you can do a density weight check as it may help determine its origin, thanks Mike

Hello Mike, the volume is 180cc. so the density comes out at 2.80gms/cc. The colour in the photos is fairly true to life, it's a slightly yellowy lime green.
