Title: Chunky green oval vase, - ID = Whitefriars "pillow vase"
Post by: chilternhills on August 13, 2022, 11:28:30 AM
I hope someone can point me in the right direction with this vase. It's a very chunky piece, weighs 3.2kg. The glass is 1.2-1.5 cm thick at the rim and up to 2 cm in parts of the bowl. Some dimensions: inside of rim 21 cm x 10.5 cm; outside rim 23.5 cm x 13 cm; height 14.8 cm; flattened part of base 17 cm x 8 cm; concave pontil mark approx. 4 cm across.

It has some age related wear on the base. I am intrigued by who made it. It looks a quality piece.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Anton
