This is a 6 1/4" vase in dark green uranium glass, I've searched but can't find one like it. At first I thought Sowerby but the foot makes me think possibly Greener. The scalloped collar above the stem is unusual. It weighs 425gms. and has a density of 2.58. I'd guess between 1860-70.

Hi Nev, I was watching that one but couldn’t workout who’s the maker either, not seen it before. Some of the Rummers that Derbyshire made had the bullseye pattern but many makers made similar patterns. It looks a bit crude so I agree perhaps it’s an early one. Looking forward for other comments.cheers Mike

The dark green colour reminds me of my unmarked Derbyshire mould pickle jar http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,69394.msg386603.html#msg386603

Yes Mike it is quite crudely made. The design of the foot looks very similar to these marked Greener jugs, which made me think mine was by them and pre 1875.

I've added a photo which better represents the colour to the naked eye.

Maybe? Some of the early James Derbyshire items were a bit crude, checkout bullseye Derbyshire pub Rummers.

Check out the bullseyes

I've actually got this candlestick with similar bullseyes which I identified from the 1874 catalogue, P.15, as no.689, although having another look it's slightly different to the catalogue image. I don't think my vase is Sowerby though.

Hi Nev, on the Victorian pressed glass website, http://www.victorianpressedglass.com/pattern_books.htm the Edward Moore catalogue page 4 number 8458 shows a lidded sugar with similar double bullseye and rim pattern.
Cheers Mike
