Title: Hubbley Bubbley Very busy studio glass bowl???
Post by: LEGSY on November 11, 2022, 01:56:29 PM
Wondered if this bowl might have been made North of the border in Scotland
if it might have been would anybody have an idea of its age and if it is a rare
piece or not i also noticed it has a folded rim and a raised pontil scar in the base
of the bowl. The colors are magnificent in my opinion it measures 9" x 3" tall :)

I think we need the Garys or Roberta.
Lots of features which suggest Monart but the colourway is a bit hard for me to recognise. It looks like a rather complex and harder to find one... I just don't recognise how the colours are worked and put together.
 :)

Gorgeous!  does it have aventurine in it as well or is it just the bubbles making it glitter?

 :)
Can we have a photo looking down into it, to see how the colours are distributed, please?

Is the foot applied or integral?

Thank you very much for your messages sorry for my late reply
i have attached a few more pictures from above to try and show
off color distributions better there is lots of aventurine or gold in
the outer areas the most, The best looking colors are from the
underside which is intriguing and sad in some ways too.
It is a busy piece of glass. the piece is all made in one piece rather
than an attached foot or similar harder to explain but it has undulating
profile rather than a smooth bend not the best description sorry..

I'll stick my neck out and say; "It's Monart."  ;D 8) ;D

Thanks for the extra images - I didn't think the foot was applied, but it can be hard to tell from pics.

Display it on a stand in the middle of a room - that way you can walk around it and see the bottom as well as the top.
Or just display the underside, if you like that better. :)
