Title: Unknown yellow vase, probably Scandinavian?
Post by: glassmanet on November 29, 2022, 12:32:22 PM
Hi community

I need help with the yellow vase on the pictures. It obviously wants to look scandinavian, maybe even Holmegaard, but Holmegaard it isn’t (not as far as I know) – if anybody has some idea or help, I’d be very grateful.

Best regards
Glassmanet

:) Possibly Japanese? It's a bit on the wonky side for Scandi.  ;)

There were some bright yellow/white vases for sale new in the shops a few years ago, they had a squat gulvase shape and round stoppers. Same yellow as yours, which is a less usual colour in glass than most for some reason, think they came in a bright orange too and possibly a lime green.

I think the ones you are referring to were the Japanese ones I was thinking of, John.  :)
