Title: Sarah Peterson@ Caithness Glass
Post by: ColinB on December 14, 2022, 09:06:38 AM
Hi,
>
> I wonder if you could help me.  I am looking for some information on the 'Alice In Wonderland' paperweight collection designed by Sarah Peterson and cut by Martin Murray.  I can find absolutely no information on any of the weights on the net.  I have the following weights.
> Wonderland - Where The Queen Rules
> Queen of Hearts - Off With His Head
> Anyone For Tea - The Mad Hatters Tea Party
>
> Any information would be gratefully accepted.

Could try joining this group if you are on Facebook  there are quite a few workers including Helen MacDonald and Phil Chaplain active on there.

Or have a look through here: https://www.scotlandsglass.co.uk/cms/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&category_id=6&Itemid=6&fbclid=IwAR1qxd9UYC9IXedkpy19tE9sVf5D3lNkD2a4FO7ElvlgIYauovUJ0paY4vE

The site is being updated at the moment so a bit hit and miss but if you persevere it works.

This is a link to the Caithness visitor centre in Crieff where they are still working. There might well be information there, or you could contact them to ask anything specific.
Sarah Peterson is currently pretty much holding Caithness together - she has been the lead designer for some time now. Producing designs other makers can manage for the bread and butter ranges and doing her own more sophisticated work. She trained with Bertil Vallein to learn how to make sandcasts - which rather explains their exceptional quality.  ;D
