I could be very wrong, I'm a bit iffy where weights are concerned, but this looks like IoWSG to me.
Certainly more my time period than flying-free's quiz is. I am unable to hazard even a vague guess at those.  ;D

You're absolutely correct sue.
I only bought yesterday afternoon but it does have the remains of a label to the base.
Merry Christmas and happy new year to you all.

Oh dear - that was a bit of a guess. It reminds me of the North Sea collection from around 2005.
Not a lot of it about Roy.

Sorry to have cracked it so fast - it is a bit obscure, but I know this range. I had to join the collector's club to be allowed to buy my own North Sea vase at the very first Open Day.

Isle of Wight glass wouldn't have been my first guess..
And the pattern should have read Night Sea

Yup. North Sea is blue.
This Sea range comes in a couple of different colours with different names. I'm not terribly good at remembering names. This is all from (my rather lousy) memory.
One wee variation in a design and it needs a new birth certificate. There are too many names to remember.  ;D

Night Sea seems to be the name, made in two colours Blue and this colorway Gold. Anton has several Blue examples but no Gold on his site, from memory I have seen the odd piece in Gold on my travels but can't remember spotting any blue...

I was thinking of the Four Seas collection. It might have been one that was exclusive for collector's club members. This is an image of a (smaller) North Sea.

The strapping is kind of marvered flat towards the base, but left round and proud towards the top, which adds a a perspective.

All the Four Seas and Night Sea seem to be very similar. Variations on a theme. :)
I can't find Four Seas on Anton's site.

As is the way of things, when one question only raises more, or you find something of interest along the way, the word vitrigraph appeared on that link. Never heard of it. Looked it up.

"What is a Vitrigraph?
Vitrigraph comes from the Latin “vitri” (glass) and the Greek “graph” (writing). A vitrigraph kiln is used for the process of heating glass in a small pot and allowing the glass to flow out of the bottom of a pot through the bottom of the kiln."
