Title: Any ideas, Scandinavian Mid Century Smoky Gray Topaz Carved Decanter
Post by: snesbit on January 13, 2023, 09:39:36 PM
Hoping someone might have seen an id for this MCM decanter sometime down the road.

Relatively thick walled, smoky grey / hint of dark topaz with geometric cut stopper and deeply carved curvilinear lines to the body.  Polished circular pontil area and foot ring.  11" high, 5" wide and 3" deep.  Kosta? Orrefors?

TIA for taking a look.

Lovely design. Would it most likely have been signed/marked if it was Orrefors or Kosta Boda though?

I had wondered maybe Leerdam but I think that might also have been marked.

This site is very good:

 Strombergshyttan? might be worth investigating.

I can't find it in my Orrefors, Sandvik or Kosta catalogues
