Title: Whitefriars 9591?
Post by: baz1966 on February 16, 2023, 04:38:15 PM
Are there any Whitefriars experts out there who could confirm that this is indeed pattern number 9591. It is 14 cm tall x 7.5 cm in diameter at the top. The only thing confusing me is the colour as it looks grey which I cannot any examples of. As always grateful for any assistance or advice.  Baz

Catalogue says 5.5" so the size is fine, they did use this grey in the Soda Range (not sure what it is called) so yours fits fine.

That colour name would be Twilight but they were also made in Pewter which can have a greenish tint.

John, many thanks.  The colour has been confusing me as although it looks grey there is indeed a greenish tint when held up to the light therefore your Pewter suggestion sounds correct. Baz

If there is a subtle greenish tint shadow green may be a possibility.

I did wonder about Shadow Green however the examples I've seen online don't seem to match this vase.

Always though this the Shadow Green.

There are one or two twists with the Soda range, one or more of the shapes was also made colour cased in clear (making them thicker and heavier). Whitefriars could also gave a colour a different name when cased.
