Any ideas who might have made this please?
Definitely made as a table lamp and not a converted vase.
A bit like some of those Bohemian splatter vases, but with some gold and silver in it giving it a very shiny lustre finish.

I can see a pulled swirl decorating this lovely thing.
Is there just the one, or are they all around? :)

It has five pulled swirls around the lower blue section. Hopefully not Chinese..... possibly Vasart?
Sold to me as working, but disappointingly not ::) It would be nice to see it lit :)

Not Vasart and not Chinese. I suspect Bohemian. It's a little bit Kralik-y, but I don't think that's it.
It would be worth getting it working. :)

The fittings and bulb look modern, the bulb looks like it might be a push fit LED, this sort of thing:

The glass reminds me of the contemporary votives or small vases I keep seeing around, bright colours and iridescent but I forget the brand name. Think they have been discussed here on the board at some point.

Now you've mentioned that, John, I'm remembering baubles I've seen in Carnelian Crafts in Crieff. Sadly, it would appear the troubles of the last 3-4years have put it out of business. It was owned and run by Jane Drysdale, Peter's widow, after he died and Perthshire Glass went with him. She made some lovely fused glass herself, in a wee workshop at the back.
Some of the commercial baubles there had swirls incorporated into the multicoloured spots, with high lustre.
It's the white liner and the crimping made me think it might be older, I think.
I'm still not sure. ::)

You are right John, the fittings are modern. I'll get a replacement bulb to see if that makes it work. The fault might be the on/off switch....
I'll get hire-a-daughter-with-a-screwdriver to look at it and will post an image of it, hopefully working.
I'll check Carnelian Crafts Sue and see what comes up. Although the fittings are modern, they could have replaced older ones. We've had old fittings replaced on vintage lamps for safety reasons. I'm with you on the white interior and crimping.

A similar multicoloured one can be found listed on Ebay under "glass vase lamp" but with no maker, it's fitted with what looks like an LED round bulb, my guess is they may be Italian.

Haven't as yet managed to ID it or find another one the same, but in the meantime I've managed to get a small 25W LED bulb to replace the dud one, and I'm pleased to say it works. Not very illuminating, but quite pretty - shown here lit...
