Hi , this has very little wear on the base and a quickly made polished pontil,it’s white on the inside then blue glass and finally clear ..anyone recognise it ??..could be fairly modern ,I’m really not sure ?thanks .

The pontil mark is not polished, looks like a contemporary vase with all the hallmarks of Chinese production.

Yup , thanks John that sort of confirms it for me .

The slight asymmetry, thick rim and watery white are also indicators of Chinese

Christine I know what you mean about the watery white - I've had that on a few vases, one labelled made in Taiwan and others I think Chinese. However I've also had a thickly hefty made pale blue vase with bubbles, a white interior and a ground but not polished large pontil mark and also made in China. It had a similar feel to this vase in the way it was made. The white interior is thick though on these but the finish of it at the rim isn't great, slightly wobbly. Can't find pics at the mo but will keep searching for a comparison.
