I thought this would be a Walther plinth but it's not in their catalogues. However it does have the unusual concave top and shape similar to the No.3 model shown here.

It is 12-sided, 9cm. tall, 13cm. base diameter, in the darkest purple glass I've seen. Pamela has one with a bowl in her unknown centrepieces section, with a bowl, but it might be a marriage. My only Walther piece which fits on top is a "Berlin" bowl which Pamela also has, fitted to a No.3 plinth

There is one in GlassGallery (owned by Angela Evans / Simba) which she has identified as STS Abel (Zagreb, Yugoslavia).

Molineaux Webb did black plinths for their bowls in the 1920s, no images exist.

Thanks very much Anne, it's not shown in the catalogue on glas-musterbuch but there are a few around rightly attributed to STS Abel.
