Title: Light Lilac Pressed Glass Bowl Scandinavian? Similar to Kastelhelmi??
Post by: LEGSY on August 30, 2023, 01:36:16 PM
Found a set of bowls graduated in sizes they remind me of Scandinavian pieces
this sits on a very narrow squared off rim and seem to be of good quality as the
colors and weight seem good. The design reminds me of many pieces i have looked
at and the color too is a decent match to many Scandinavian pieces.  I have a 9" & 10.5"
sized bowls and wondered if any bodies mind has come across this shape before? Thanks.

Brockwitz ‘Tauperle’ maybe? Similar designs were made by a number of firms in the thirties, including Rindskopf.

‘Tauperle’ range catalogue here (1941) on Glas Musterbuch site: https://www.glas-musterbuch.de/Brockwitz-1941-TAUPERLE.234.0.html

A lidded box in a similar design here: http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,68871.0.html

A jug with a similar raised dot pattern, identified by Pamela as Rindskopf, c.1936, from a catalogue available from Pressglas-korrespondenz.de: http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,35784.msg194407.html#msg194407

I wonder if the colour of your bowls is intentional, or could it be sun purpling from Manganese?

That colour is very post war, so possibly actually from one of the nationalised companies
