Happy to show a new edition to my small bubbly bowls collection it has quite a bit
of quality in my eyes, There is a lot of wear to the base so would imagine 60's or possibly
older still. The outside clear glass has bubbles throughout followed with a white casing this then
has a thinner layer of a very rich pinky red, This has been carefully applied and is perfectly applied
to the rim top. I think it maybe from Italy but not sure who might have been responsible any ideas
are great thanks nearly forgot it is 2.5" x 3 3/4" and really heavy..

Have quite a few of these, all brought locally, couple of miles from Stourbridge, there is a small mention of similar pieces made by Richardson's, not a positive id but the closest I've come across, the passage is in one of the books by Charles Hajdamach, I'll try and find it.

;D Thanks Keith it is funny to hear this when buying it i had a fleeting thought that the red/white
inside reminded me of some of the English Glassworks like Webb used on the insides of some of there
pieces of glass, This is the first time i have come across them were on the Shropshire/Wales border..
Really appreciate the pictures also they are a nice group if your interested in this one to go with them
let me know thanks :)

Thanks for the offer but I already have one like that, here's a few more ;D

Keith are there any other examples of different glass where Richardson might have used this thick white with red overlay for example?
Are they all definitely from the same maker?
-
Really couldn't say, I have spent quite a while looking for an id but the one mention in Charles's book is the only thing I've found, like you said they may well be from different companies ;D

Really interesting information and unusual how this one is the first i have turned up but i guess living near Stourbridge
is the place to be if you want to find good things, I did wonder about the base finished off with a sharp pontil scar might
help as i would have though if Italian it would have been polished ?? There is lots of wear on mine so must be a good age
are yours worn a lot on the bases Keith?

Will have to go and find where they all are and get back to you, if I remember right they all have heavy wear, back later ;D
