I have this lovely little apple shaped perfume bottle. It’s very much in the style of Porpora pieces by Ercole Barovier but I cannot find out what what mark should be on it if that were the case. Can anyone help please?
It’s about 45mm tall

A sharper photo of the signature might help.
Porpora is made with a different glass making technique, your bottle is not related.

Thank you John, it’s good to rule out what it’s not. I will try and get a better picture of the signature

:)
The bottle could perhaps illustrate a heart rather than an apple?
Although perhaps it might be too graphic for romantic ideals.
It looks as if the decor was produced using some sort of resist technique, where clear and red glass introduced when hot refuse to mix with each other and create this lacey holey (or blood vessels) effect.
I have been trying to find out what Porpora is, as a technique for decorating glass, but rather unsuccessfully.
It seems to be a maker's or artist's name.

A version of crackle by the look of it.

I only found Venini lighting (chandeliers and wall mounts) and the story of a boy falling into a very valuable ancient Italian painting of flowers and putting his fist through it, but no description of any technique or even an image of the glass itself. My searches are really not very productive.
Thanks, John. I've seen that sort of thing before. :)
