Title: ID help
Post by: mpleister on February 01, 2024, 03:24:00 AM
Hello all,

I picked up this VERY heavy glass vase today. It has no markings, I was having difficulty figuring anything out on it. I was wondering if anyone had any information on it.

Thanks,
Matt

Why no shot of the base?

I apologize, here is a picture of the base.

if any help. It is about 2.65 lbs, and about 5.5" tall by 3.5" wide

Looks like a modern Chinese piece that someone has added fake wear to. The rim is very thick and looks uneven. The base was once polished, which can be found on relatively recent Chinese glass but wear never looks like someone has scraped the bottom with sandpaper

I concur, very likley to be Chinese pre 2006 or so, when they started to polish all bases.
