Title: Unusual Bowl Like Monart/Vasart Finger Bowl Sized? - id = Perthshire Paperweights

Bought this bowl from an auction blind thinking it might have been a piece
that was made in Scotland but when it came the base picture turned out to not be so
consistent with a base on a Monart bowl with the raised pontil scar. When it came it seems to have
a flattened blob or pontil scar and what looks like a "2" on it?? Similar sized to a finger bowl 5.5 cm
tall and 10.5 diameter wondered what other collectors think about it maybe a sample? Or a different
company altogether has a feel of Scottish glass but not sure at all thanks

Perthshire Paperweights, they usually have a P on the base, I suspect your 2 is a half formed P.

Perthshire Paperweights is related to Moncrieff, Monart, Vasart, Strathearn and Stuart Strathearn. It's really the final company to have been in operation in this glassmaking company family.
It folded when the owner, Peter Drysdale, very sadly and suddenly dropped dead far too young.
