Title: Unusual cup vase, strange colour combination of orange and green - ID please
Post by: chilternhills on March 31, 2024, 05:05:10 PM
I found this in a local 'junk' shop, but I'm hoping it's not junk. As you can see from the pictures, it has a strange colour combination of a bright orange bowl on a green foot.

The orange colour seems to be flashed on the surface, both inside and outside. There is a faint thin line of clear glass around the centre of the rim. It's hard to see. The green base seems to have colour through the glass, but I can't be certain.

There are a lot of tiny bubbles in both bowl and foot. I'm not sure if it has been blown or moulded. There is fine creasing on the base, so maybe moulded.

The item is 10.5 cm high, 7.2 cm across the rim, and 6.2 cm across the foot.

Any suggestions for maker and age are appreciated. Thank you.

Anton

Looks like a glass from a lemonade set, along the lines produced by Schneider and no doubt others in the 30s.
