Title: Small Green angular or hooped glass vase???
Post by: LEGSY on May 15, 2024, 12:07:12 PM
Lovely weighty little vase seems to have a Scandinavian color green in my mind
i think Holmegaard used a similar shade. The vase only measures 10 x 8.5 cm
yet has a good weight love to know if anybody recognizes the style or shape at all
thanks.

The problem I have is that I have lots of Holmegaard glass as I love Per Lutken and Michael Bang designs.  I think I have at least five different greens - so it would be nice if you specify which green you mean.  Or perhaps show an example of the colour with an Holmegaard item.

Thanks for the reply i thought it looked similar to Winston Decanter set green maybe??
I take your point, I  do not have any pieces to hand so i might just be thinking generally
that the shape and color made me think Scandinavian?? Thanks

Could be German or Japanese. They made these hooped styles too

:) Thanks for your reply i agree it has a look of German as well i did wonder if
it may have been a hyacinth type of vase maybe also? Should be ok at least to
use as one maybe .

An image search found these, I assume the attribution is correct.

It's not a hyacinth vase; there is insufficient room for the roots and it's tiny. The top is too wide for crocuses
