Title: Unusual Cranberry & Opalescent Bucket Handled Vase???
Post by: LEGSY on May 16, 2024, 11:09:15 AM
Wondered what folks would think of this piece of glass it is in the form of
a bucket with handles and raised coopered like metal straps as you might
see around the body of a whisky barrel even has vertical fluting which looks
like the staves on the barrels. Thinking it maybe Victorian or early
20th century in date but not to sure it measures 13.5 cm tall and maybe an
ice bucket??

That does not look heat struck, two types of glass then. Don't remember seeing anything quite like that.

It's a bit small for ice, perhaps sugar; there were lots of novelty sugars
