Title: Apothecary Measure
Post by: NevB on May 26, 2024, 10:36:18 AM
This is an interesting little 3 1/4" measure. It carries the Crown Stamp mark for George V, used from 1910-1930, and the 2 and shield with crosses for the City of London, used from 1879-2006. It also is marked with an 8 and GRD which I can't identify and is engraved up to 8 fl.oz. It has a distinct "T" shear mark which might place the manufacture a bit earlier.

Nice. Can you see any mark left by the gadget on the top of the foot, looks like there might be something there but hard to see?

Yes Ekimp overall the foot is quite crude and the top is lumpy, probably from a gadget.
