Title: Sowerby Venetian goblet?
Post by: glassobsessed on August 12, 2024, 07:03:32 PM
It seems to have the right attributes but I have not seen this shape. The base is fairly chunky and along with the blue trailing appears a little clumsily made, 9.5cm tall.

For comparison this a documented shape.

Nice find John, not seen that one before. As you say, has all the right attributes, colour and smooth ground pontil.

I now have a few pieces  :)

Yes I was looking at them last night, some elaborate pieces I had not seen before, very nice too.

Thanks for taking a look at this one and commenting. I wonder what else might be out there waiting to be revealed!
