Title: Cut glass pedestal vase
Post by: Keith Mick on October 12, 2024, 10:49:51 AM
Anyone have ideas what the original purpose of this vase/bowl might be? Centre piece or a punch bowl perhaps? Impressive cutting and a heavy foot it may be Victorian. It's approx 25 cm tall and just over 20 cm across the rim.
Cheers
Keith

Hi, no sign of makers mark that I can see. The base is flat except for the star cut, with decent amount of wear and is thick, a bit over kill really! Have seen some Edinburgh one's online but seems different. I'm not sure.
Thanks for the input.

My guess would be a celery vase, can't help with a maker.
