Hi, these came with a Kaj Franck bowl and two Orrefors vases so I'm assuming that they might be Scandinavian but other than that I have no idea. Description as follows:
"The jugs are roughly in the shape of hourglasses. They are blown in green and amethyst glass and measure 4.8 cm (1.9 inches) in diameter at their bases. The jugs are 12 cm (4.8 inches) in height to the top of the pouring spouts. The handles were first applied to the bottom of the jugs and then finished off at the top. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any evidence of restoration. The green one retains a foil label but there is no decipherable writing on it. Each jug weighs 75 g. (~ 3 oz.)."

I would consider Germany and Poland too, the shape of the label might be a clue.

Thank you John, they were described as Scandinavian by the auctioneer but most of them appear to know very little about unmarked 20th century glass. I'll take a look at possible manufacturers in Germany and Poland to see if I can identify them and report back if I find anything. Kind regards, Neil

Snap! Neil, mine is the same shape and size as yours, and it has a readable label: Made in Sweden and a JC monogram which is Jones & Co, importers.

According to Wayne at 20th centuryglass.com Jones & Co imported mostly from Lindshammar Glasbruk and you can see similarities in the way these jugs were finished off at the top with some of the shaft and globe vases they made. Kind regards
