Hello,
I am new here. I've been buying crystal and glass at estate sales for the last couple of years and researching as best I can.
Here is something I picked up recently at the estate of a German immigrant family along with some 1920ish high end German china. Wondering if this looks familiar to anyone.
I have 8 of these, and the bottoms, which are very heavy, are completely flat for 3 of them, for 4 more there is a slight indentation where I assume the pontil has been ground out, and for one (see attached) the indentation ends with a small hole where I assume there was a hole but they did not grind all the way down.
Appreciate all of your thoughts.
Rgds,
Mike

Welcome to the board. You may have difficulty pinning down a maker but assuming your glasses are German/European, you could try searching this site:

The Stölzle catalogue has some similar:

It can't be ruled out that they are American.

Thank you very much!

Thank you NevB.
It occurs to me that you are suggesting American because of the rims (sides are ground flat)?
I'm wondering if this indicates these used to have a metal (possibly gold) rim attached similar to the one in the photo attached
Thanks and Regards,
Mike

I saw somewhere some similar American glasses but can't find them now. The smooth rim on yours is often found on European designs, I think for ease of use, I don't think yours would have been gilded.
