Not being a collector of French art glass, I am confused about marks for Art Vannes and detailed data about the maker, or makers, who used marks with "Vannes" in them. This started recently with the acquisition of the ashtray shown in this post. I find only two examples of pieces with this mark, both heavy pink, cased in clear, glass. The mark is a circle, with "Made in France" and a Feur de Lis on the perimeter and "Art Vannes" in the center. Who/when used this mark? Is it the same company that uses a diamond shaped "Art Vannes" mark and/or "Vannes Le Chatel" mark? Was this pink sfuff a specific line? Why can I find so little of it? Why don't I ever guess the right lottery numbers?
I find brief mentions of Vannes as a town where glass/crystal was/is made. Acquisition of some companies by Daum, dates of 1765-2021, etc., but not any explanation of the various Vannes marks, detailed histories of the company/companies that used these marks. Help!
I am mostly interested in this mark, but guessing it may come with more information...

I think there is only one company, which was founded in Meuther-et Moselle in 1765 as Verreries Vannes-de-Chatel. It became Cristallerie Vannes-de-Chatel in 1960 and became part of CFC (Cie Française de Cristal; parent company of Sevres, Daum and Vannes) after 1970. (Glass Fact File a-z, Ivo Haanstra). It is surprising that there is so little historical information readily available for a company that has been in business since 1765, especially lack of information about marks they used, since it looks like there were at least three marks in the 20th century, alone. Seems to be good glass....

I wonder if glass marked "Made in France", instead of "Fabriquée en France" was made for export?
