Title: Clear to Green Compote Help Needed

I have a clear to green cut glass compote. notched stem, plain base, shaped/scalloped edges, leaf and grape motif. i am guessing 1920s/30s. not sure if it is bohemian or possibly stevens and williams or even val st lambert. height - 8 inches; diameter 8 1/2

i got the answer. the compote is most likely h p sinclair c. 1910

Thank you for coming back to us.  It's a really gorgeous piece :)  Great design and colour use.

You say 'most likely HP Sinclair'.  Is there an evidence source for that maker at all?

the conclusion is that of my appraiser whom i assume used comparable pieces to draw a conclusion. the glass is unmarked.

There's a bit of info re H.P. Sinclaire that you might find of interest here (https://cutglass.org/BrilliantGlassEduc/A%20Guide%20to%20ABCG%20-%20Jim%20Havens/Havens%20Part%20Two%205%20th%20Ed/sinclaire1.htm).
Also, as you're in the USA it might be worth seeing if you can track down a copy of the book "The Complete Cut and Engraved Glass of Corning" by Estelle Sinclaire Farrar & Jane Shadel Spillman, published by Crown, 1979, SBN 10: 0517534320 / ISBN 13: 9780517534328, as it has a section on the patterns of Sinclaire taken from the Corning Museum of Glass Archives.  Estelle Sinclaire Farrar also wrote two other books about H.P. Sinclaire that would be worth tracking down if possible.
