Title: Cello Handmade Glass Paperweight.
Post by: NevB on January 03, 2025, 03:06:46 PM
There have been a few posts about Cello glass but I don't think with any definite conclusion. There are pieces on Ebay, most of which say it is an Italian maker but with no proof. This paperweight/ringholder? has a polished base a very faint Cello Handmade clear plastic label and interestingly an engraved mark which reads A and an L? This would seem to indicate a European maker.

More research identifies this as by the Polish artist Adam Jablonski, there are previous posts on here confirming the signature.

I assume Cello bought it in and labelled it.

oh interesting.  I did wonder where they were making their glassware.
Is there anything else on the board about it being from Poland?

Searching Cello there are some references to Josefina Krosno style pieces with Cello labels, so again possibly bought in and labelled.
