No Libbey expert here, but did a lot of digging and found some interesting things.
First Gene Florence in his book "Elegant Glass of the depression era" lists Imperial "Candlewick" as being made from 1936 to 1984

Second, Hughes was apparently a glass cutter in Canada who produced a pattern called "Cornflower" see here http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180031000799
He apparently bought blanks from many companies including Imperial.

Third, Libbey did a pattern called "Knob Hill" see here

Anchor hocking did one called Berwick pattern from the 1950s to th 1970s. It is commonly called "Boopie" and is only found in stems and candleholders.  See here

I don't know if this will help or not but it sure has been interesting. Terry

Thanks Terry,
Very much appreciated.
I know that Fran is following this closely.
Whilst Imperial did make this pattern, these latest arrivals, with labels, does beg the question whether Libbey had always had the pattern made and shipped from Czechoslovakia/Czech Republic.

Marcus

Thats a tough question. Wish I knew the answer but was greatly surprised to discover this.

Libbey definately has their finger in several glass pies, so to speak. Terry

Moncrieff were certainly manufacturing for Corning using Moncrieff formulae but with Corning marking and no indication of non-US origin. But how many companies will admit to such practises.

As you can see from the following link Candlewick and look alikes abound and the sorting IMHO can be mind boggling. Terry
