Hi - can anyone help with the maker of these or give an idea of when they were made?
Thanks,
Doug

Hello Doug,
Thanks for your post, but I cant really say which maker did these.
There are also newer reproductions of old style Venetian pieces out there.
Maybe someone else can give you some better imput.

I was in a glass shop in Rome some time ago where they had hundreds of pieces of red glass with gold - so I think it is contemporary Murano. But I'm clueless as to who the producer might be...

Thanks Ivo...
I remember seeing a website this past year where they were doing all Red Glass reproductions of Venetian piece. I cant remember which topic the website was under, but I know its out there. I'll try to find it on the old threads..... hmmm, didn't find it.

It is possible that it is contemporary, but I would be a little surprised. I purchased this from an estate which had tons of glass dating from the mid 1800's through the mid 1900's. I didn't see much that was produced after 1960 there.

I think the site that had the modern ruby and gold vases is the same one that had the dolphin stem pieces made in the traditional style. If I remember correctly the company has been in business for 100+ years and continues to make items in the traditional style. I just can't find the site right now :(

Did you mean Vetreria La Fenice?
