Title: Pair of Murano Bubble Controlled, Gold Flake Birds on Stands
Post by: Ohio on October 14, 2006, 12:02:25 AM
Hi. I am in need of some expertise trying to ID a manufacturer for this pair of controlled bubble full bodied birds with gold flakes which are on satnds? The are 11 1/2" in height. It's impossible to catch the detail on these & I apologize for the pics, but the combination of the bubbles/gold/crystal is very difficult to overcome, for example there are actually folded wings which do not show well. Any ideas as to vintage & manufacturer are most sincerely appreciated. Thanks, Ken

They look Barbini, but the decoration is a bit uunsual.
Can you take a close up photo of them without a flash?

Hi Ken,
They look much better like that.
I do think they are Barbini. I have a few of these in different colors.
