Frank: As promised, here are images of the Caithness thimbles. They were purchased by an aunt in the mid-1980s at a store called Birk's in Toronto, which was then a speciality gift, glass, and china shop throughout Canada. These two thimbles are now in my collection, as my aunt gave away her 250+ ceramic, glass, metal, and wicker thimble collection to relatives and friends because she was no longer interested in them and wanted others to enjoy them. She still collects myriad other things.
If anyone knows what year these two might have been made (and specifically by whom) any information would be greatly appreciated. I have general names from another thread.
