Title: Help Identify Pink Deco(?) Vase

Hello

I'm new to this forum and hope this is the right place to post a request for help identifying a piece.

I bought this one at auction in the Midwestern USA.  It was one of those "have to haves", even though I couldn't identify it.  I've posted a couple of images here:

The vase is quite heavy for its size.  It stands 7.5 inches tall and the top diameter is 9 3/8 inches.  The colour is a delicate rose pink which seems to be an applied layer on the outside of the vase.  The rim is a peacock design reverse painted on the underneath of the rim, showing through to the top.  I believe it is 1920s or 1930s.  Other than that, I haven't a clue.  Any help would be appreciated.

I'm pretty sure this was made by U.S. Glass / Tiffin...

I agree;  U.S. Glass\Tiffin also made Stretch Glass vases using the same mold. --- Mike

Probably in the 1920's...

Martlet, Your'e welcome.

A lot of glass molds used to make glass throughout the 20s-30s and some into the 1940s where originally made and used to make Stretch Glass items in the early 1900s. Sometimes that site comes in handy for IDing something by shape and once the maker name is known it's easier to find information on items they produced in the same molds later on. --- Mike

Hi Mike

Thanks for that information.  I'm English but living in the Midwest and started going to estate auctions a couple of years ago.  It's a bit of a switch to start learning about American glass but there is some gorgeous stuff out there.  I'll be making full use of the link you gave.
