Hi group,on the Vetri VM Murano labels there are 3 numbers like 022.I have seen others like 035 and 038.I understand these refer to the actual factory where the Murano piece was made.Was told 022 is Venini factory.Anyone have a list of what numbers refer to which factory or any other info?Thanks much!

I couldn't find a factory list on the Conzorzio Provometro Murano site but you could try contacting them. From what I understand they are the consortium behind the VM label.
Provometro (http://www.promovetro.com/portal/index.php)
There's a small pulldown menu in the top right corner for language selection.

Hi Alexander,thanks for the info.The labels they use are different than the one I have.My label is white with black lettering and says
Vetri
VM 038
Murano
Murano(but this one is upside down on the label).
I will check with them though.Thanks much!

Hi, while looking something completely different on Fossilfly's glasslabel (http://www.fossilfly.com/muranolabel/main.php) gallery I found some numbered labels
from VM that also had the manufacturer sticker's on.
019 = Bucella Cristalli
002 = Venini
Both id' thanks to Charlie
There is an interesting thread on this forum about Murano Glass labels -

A couple more culled from other topics to keep the info together:
022 is the VM number for Venini.
Vetri Murano label number 040 = Vetreria Artistica COLLEONI Snc.

One word of warning -- the numbers on the Promovetro site are the VAM numbers. The VAM sticker is the one that has what looks like a mortar & pestle on it. I am sure that it is probably a punty with glass, but... I used to think these were the same as the VM numbers. It can cause a lot of misidentifications. 022 is Venini's VM. Venini doesn't have a VAM number that I have ever seen. I am not sure if the Colleoni number is correct or not.
Someone mentioned in another group that even the VAM (Vetro Artistico Murano) number was being abandoned because of some problems. I don't use the VAM table that is under the Concessionaires link on the Promovetro site anymore, because I was getting things wrong more often than right.

I checked the site and saw it has been revised. The companies no longer have the numbers.
