Title: Grappo?

They told us that this jug is part of the Grappo series by Nanny Still but we have our doubts because the bubbles are not in one line (horizontal and vertical). Is this a Grappo or not?

It's hard for me to say, because it's a long time since I've handled one of this style.  I think from memory, the 'bubble' protrusions were blown out from the body of the glass, not applied to the outside as a prunt.  Also, I think the protuding 'bubbles' were in straight alignment, not offset.

I've got Designlasin in front of me, seems to agree with the alignment theory, but it'd help if I could read the language.   :roll:

Max has it right with the bubbles. The handle in the original (bigger) Grappo jug is also much smaller. You cannot see it in Design-glass pricebook (free translation), but perhaps this (poor) pic will help. The handles are poorly drawn in Designlasi, the handles are "shorter" and rounder. These jugs are original and have the Riihimäki sticker on.

Thank you both, our doubts are now confirmed; this is not a Grappo. Now we have to find out what kind of jug this is, from which country, design et cetera. Does somebody have a tip?
