I have this blue perfume bottle, cased in clear, with white "blobs" on the surface of the clear casing, evenly bubbled in the clear, with a clear stopper with white surface blobs.

However, it has a scratched signature on it - looks like Shirley White or Waite. I think this has a murano look about it, so wonder if the signature is just the previous owner?

Does anyone recognise the style?

Hi Lynne,
I think you'll have more luck in the main glass forum.
I dont think this is a Murano piece.
Maybe someone will know the signature over there.

Yes, I am delighted, and she is such an interesting person, I discovered that her grandfather was the Cullinan after whom the Cullinan diamond was named... so she obviously had clear shiny stuff in her soul from the start!
I THOUGHT the piece had a quality feel about it, but it is sad how little some of these major contemporary artists are known. This was in the lot with the Peter Layton and the NSClarke vases, obviously the previous owner was very interested in modern art glass.
And she liked blue...
I was also very very pleased that a couple of the pieces had little faults to them.....that means I gets to keep them! My Precious!

Careful Lynne, or you'll become a collector next! :D :D :D

shock horror Cathy!!
How could I even consider such a thing.... 8) 8) 8)
It would be so very easy... as it is I cry inside when my good pieces go. The best pieces stay with me for such a short time, whilst I have a house filled with ordinary stuff that never seems to go away......
