Title: Pink textured Holmegaard bowl...
Post by: Pinkspoons on December 13, 2006, 01:34:34 PM
Any clue on the designer of this bowl, or its production period?

Bowl (http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b108/pinkspoons/1.jpg)

It's textured on the outside, smooth on the inside, with a fire-polished rim. The label dates it to post-1971, but that's as much as I know about it. I'm guessing late 70s - late 80s.

"Trigonia" by Torben Jorgensen (both O's crossed) late 1990s.

That late? I wouldn't have guessed, as it has that uninspired late-70s feel to it.

Thanks for the information, though - very much appreciated!

Taking the new information as a lead, it looks like the range is called 'Trigona' (named after a type of sting-less honey bee, it seems, due to the honeycomb-esque pattern on the bowl) and was designed in 1991.

'Trigonia', incidentally, would work as a name too, though, as it's a type of ancient clam with a similar concentric pattern on its shell.

Typo, wot. I think Trigonia should be treated by giving 3 grams of amoxicillina as a single dose...
