Does anyone have reliable info on this company? Bellova.com (quid viz) states the company was located in Rapotin, Moravia - however I have it listed in Zay-Ugroc, Hungaria. Same location after border correction? Plant for enameled glassware, another one for lamps & lighting? Apparently half their production was commissioned from the US. Anyone know what of the other half consisted of?

Ivo,
J Schreiber and Neffen, established 1844, at Uhrovec, (birthplace of Antonin Dubcek of Prague Spring fame), Schrieber family involvement ended in 1938, when they emigrated to the United States. in the communist era, was known as Sklarny Lednicke Rovne, now Rona Crystal. Archives should be available. Possibly from the Slovak Glass MuseumFrom what I can make out the Rapotin glass-works were and still are manufacturers of laboratory glassware.

Ivo, OK, so one always finds out more as you go. Rapotin also linked to Schreibers, your link is here:
