Hi there,
As everyone was so very helpful identifying my davidson vase yesterday, I hope you won't mind if I pop one more on here for your suggestions.
This bowl is so beautiful, large and heavy. It just shouts quality and I love it. It has no names or marks on it anywhere though, so I wonder if it can be identified? It measures approx. 6" across, and stands 4" tall. It is really very pretty and I think must be quite old from the look of the base. Any suggestions very warmly welcomed.

No ideas at all? :'( I really stumped you all huh?
:D

I would say Murano, but i'm no expert, is there any base wear?
-
Thank you for your input. Yes, there is a little wear to the base... I was also thinking Murano, but I am really really no expert! :)

I'll root around a bit more, but in the meantime, take a look at Javier's web site, www.trocadero.com he has some wonderful pieces and might point you in the right direction, or if he's around give you some advise, sometimes it take's a little while because some people don't look in every day, good luck.

I thought Murano too. Perhaps one of the nice moderators will transfer your query lock, stock and barrel to the other board. Not eveery Muranophile looks at all the boards, unlike some of us :-[

Or could it be Chalet Glass? Emmi

My immediate thought is Murano rather than Chalet, but I'm no expert on this sort of glass. Would you like us to move the topic, Vicki?
-
I don't think Chalet does that finish. I voet Murano, although I'm not clever enough to say which glasshouse or maker. :)

Thank you for moving the post for me, and for all your helpful replies... I really love this kind of thing, and have a few more in my collection which I may pop on here as you guys know sooooo much more about this than me! I am afraid I just buy what is pretty :)
Thanks again

Don't apologise. There's nothing wrong with buying what you think is pretty ::)
