Title: Gnome Schnapps Bottle
Post by: Nancy128 on January 12, 2007, 07:35:36 PM

Okay, needs some help.  Is this a tourist type bottle of Schnapps?  Would I call it a gnome?  Can anyone date this bottle from the numbers that are on the base of the bottle?  Do you think the liquor that is in the bottle is any good?  ::)

Nancy, what an extraordinary thing!  Is it a bottle enclosed in a lump of carved wood???

Pip, from what I can make of it, the bottle is encased with a clay/pottery and then molded to make it look like tree trunk, the branches are real wood.  It's the strangest thing I've seen in awhile.  It came from Munich, so I was hoping there would be someone here on the board that might recognize this.
