Would be grateful for any information regarding this please. Think it's been in our family for about 60 years, but apart from that, know nothing else about it.

These were made by the Ysart family in Perth Scotland, I have a website dedicated to their work and related work: www.ysartglass.com
You can see other examples of the work here: http://www.ysartglass.com/Indexcat03.htm
Read about Vasart in particular here: http://www.ysartglass.com/Ysart/Vasartglass.htm
As the site has several hundred pages I have a getting started page to guide you through the different aspects of the glass here http://www.ysartglass.com/Ysart/NewtoYsart.htm
You will find your tophat on the bowls catalogue, first page as design B015.
Enjoy learning :) hopefully you will want more of this unique work, each piece is free blown (no moulds for shaping) and varies from other examples of the same design.

;D Yesssss, I'm finally beginning to recognise some Ysart - I saw this vase and thought it might be but was waiting for Frank to comment. Well chuffed with myself.

If you refer to "You will find your tophat on the bowls catalogue, first page as design B015." I put no direct link in as it is on the catalogue page where I gave the link a few lines above.
