Hi, just wondering if this bowl is made by STS Abel Zagreb?

It seem to be the same shape as this one...

Thanks, Tony.

This is actually 'Berlin' pattern by August Walther & Sohne. The STS version is very similar, the dimensions and overall shape are the same but it features a different, more geometric pattern to the rim rather than holly leaves and also has a different pattern to the base.
I've included some more pictures of an STS bowl for comparison:

A Walther Berlin can be seen on Pamela's site here: http://www.pressglas-pavillon.de/tafelaufsaetze/00677.html

Ah ha, so it's Walther Berlin pattern afterall, thanks Steven. :)
I've got a good habit of buying Walther without knowing it. ;D

Steven is right, yours is a absolutely Walther Berlin :D
Thank you Steven - very quick! Does this mean your blue one bears the mark of a 'five headed star and wine glass' too? We had discussed it ago, but I do not recall whether you had contributed your blue one sorry and ashamed :-X

Last year I found out that the Zagreb bowl was pressed into a former Walther mould - they must have sold it there.
If you look at the handles you'll see, that Zagreb tried to 'erase' the swinged lines but did not do that perfectly. What do you say Steven: does yours also have remaining lines?

Hello Pamela, no need to feel sorry or ashamed ;), I didn't post my blue bowl in the past, I just remember seeing the pattern identified in Pressglas Korrespondenz a while back.
Very interesting to hear that the STS bowl is from an old Walther mould, it certainly explains why they have near identical dimensions.
This blue bowl appears unmarked, though I had a green example I sold early last year which had the star & wine glass mark. Looking at the handles there is a pattern of curved lines on each, I will post a better photo when I get the chance.
Edit: Although I thought the blue bowl was unmarked, looking at again obliquely in strong light, I can just make out what may be a faint impression of the mark to the centre of the interior.
