Title: ID Help-dating of Paul Ysart weight. ID = 1970s
Post by: rsts on January 22, 2007, 04:35:53 PM
This Paul Ysart weight has a central complex cane with the PY signature.  The central cane is surrounded by canes set in a blue ground.  Base is nearly flat with a ground out pontil.  Glass is clear and colorless. I am looking for help on date period he may have made this weight. Links are to photos on my web site.

As far as I know, the large complex PY-centred cane (made up of nearly 300 individual canes, most of which are themselves complex canes) was not used before the 1970s.

See the details in my web page (http://www.btinternet.com/~kevh.glass/pages/paul-ysart/signed/canetable.htm).

KevH - Thank you for your help.  I didn't think the weight was one of the older ones but wasn't sure just how new.  I will mark your web site for future reference.
