can anybody help with identification please
it is a glass bowl/dish
the inner colour is purple
any help would be appresiated

I'm only a beginner on this site, but it has a Flygfors look about it - similar to their Coquille baskets.  From the pictures it doesn't look as though it has the same quality - so maybe a copy?  Have you got a shot of it from the side to show the full form?

Well done Cat! Spot on. The quality is nowhere near the Flygsfors range, as you can see from the tool marks on the points and the greenish colour of the glass. The other usual suspect is Bayel, but in this case I think not - the colour is all wrong. I would think that this piece is by one of the Spanish makers who specialise in recycled glass, perhaps La Mediterranea?
