It shows that people scour the listings, doesn't it! :)

It just goes to show that with all the hoo ha about Whitefriars glass on TV there are still people whom it totally passes by ... I like coming across people like this selling at boot fairs >:D
-
I'd already spotted this one... shame others had beat me to it. >:D

Who has the time to trawl through 1000s and 1000s of Art glass listings? I certainly don't. Glad the seller got a decent price for it though. Bet he'll take notice of Whitefriars in the future!!! Emmi

I wonder how many messages s/he got from various eBayers saying "Hey, I really like the vase you're selling - I don't know anything about it, but it's really nice. Would you be willing to do a buy it now for (insert nominal figure here), as it's my (insert spouse/parent)'s birthday/anniversary coming up soon and they collect this type of glass and I know they'd love it!"
I've had several along those lines for fully identified pieces in the past, so I pity sellers who don't genuinely know their onion.

So have I Nic - the one I usually get is 'I'm going to be away when the auction ends - could you let me have it now on a BIN for £xxxx (derisory figure)' - they get my stock reply 'put in a bid before you go away and make sure you put your maximum in' :-)
