Anyone have an idea on this one, its 12" tall, Jack in the pulpit or funeral ,
Deep Purple, almost appears black, the glass appears to be hollow,
The base is quite distinctive and reminds me of bases to tall carnival vases.
Any information or ideas welcome, not an easy one to photograph.

Just a thought - I have seen similar (slightly smaller) items that I believe were made by Espoo Taidelasi in Finland (Espoo is "suburban Helsinki"). Recently made and sometimes they have a Made In Finland sticker on them. I've seen carnival versions too.

I once saw a massive vase similar to yours in Sweden (it was marigold carnival) - I think it could well have been from Finland too.

Thanks Glen,
I hadnt gone down the Scandinavian route!
its hard to describe this one, the glass has a molten feel to it, like its oozed down
to the base, its so smooth, but near the base you can see where it was molten at
some stage! and as i say its hollow, and has a very organic ,liquidy fluid feel to it, and near the
base, the inside and outside blend together!
I feel some sort of mould was involved, and then the hot glass was cooled fairly quickly,
but i really have no idea ???
Im still sure the base may give a clue?
